One of the last shows we put on was M60 headlining Off The Square in Manchester and it cemented our love for this band; now they’re back with another incredible song ’18’. It has all the indie rock vibes we love from this band and the sing along vocals that we’re screaming out for at the moment.

Who are you?
We are M60, an indie rock band from near Manchester

Where are you from?
Matt, Brad and Charlie are from Wythenshawe; with Sam from out in Hayfield in the peaks

Describe yourself in three words…
Manc Indie Rock

What are your influences?
We have quite a wide range of influences between us, including The Arctic Monkeys, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Strokes, David Bowie, Kings of Leon, The Stone Roses and Pearl Jam

What is the highlight of your career so far…
Our last gig at Off The Square was a great night, and our single ‘I Don’t Mind’ recently passed half a million streams on Spotify.

What is the worst gig you’ve played?
The worst gig we’ve played was at some awful venue/pub in the northern quarter, our set was pushed back by 2 hours and the sound engineer told Matt he sounded s***. It was a funny one. That coupled with a bar man saying he would knock Matt out but that’s another story for another day

If you could create your own gig who would you play with?
Right now, being allowed to play a gig with anyone would be great!

What’s your karaoke song?
Matt and Charlie love a good duet of ‘Breaking Free’ from high school musical

What’s next for the band?
We were half way through recording another track before the lockdown, so we have that to finish and maybe one or two more tracks to record. Then as soon as we are allowed to we are looking at playing in as many new cities as possible around the UK.

Best three new bands…
Bedroom Boredom, The Recreation and Violet
