Today marks 5 years since we lost talented Warrington band Viola Beach, our thoughts go out to the bands families and friends on this difficult day. Kris Leonard, River Reeves, Jack Dakin, Tomas Lowe and their manager Craig Tarry will never be forgotten.

Yesterday a cover of Viola Beach’s hit single ‘Swings And Waterslides’ was released under the name ‘Warrington Music’. The project has been created by Editor of [WAM] Magazine, Lee Harman and former Viola Beach Sound Engineer, Cal Bate. Together they formed a supergroup of 12 local musicians to pay tribute to the band by covering one of their songs. The track has had radio play from Radio X, XS Manchester, BBC Radio 6, BBC Introducing Merseyside and many more. All proceeds from the single will be donated to the chosen charities of the families of Viola Beach.
