Nostalgia defined, ‘I Just Wanna Know’ is a real throwback to times gone by and a reminder of the classic Indie sound we all know and love.
The Splints, hailing from Australia, are returning with what is surprisingly only their second single. I say surprisingly because this is a band that sound like they have some real maturity about their sound.
Songs like this can often come dangerously close to being a ‘rip off’ or ‘unoriginal’ but this one seems to have something very fresh about it. A certain liveliness within the music.
This song does also seem to have an element of pop punk in it too which makes for a great mix of sounds. Most notably, within this tune the production is incredibly polished and almost has a bit of a pop music-esc cleanliness to the mix.
