Sarpa Salpa kick off 2022 with trancey new single ‘Somebody.’ The synthy track opens with lyrics of reassurance like ‘Don’t be scared to love again,’ creating an indie-pop bop that mingles with the maturity of witnessing a former acquaintance eventually parting ways.
The recent single brings the ambience of a 70’s dance track, but reimagined with the modernity of current guitar-music, while also dipping in and out of a nonchalant mindset that is prevelant in the band’s lyrics. Despite the heart-rending lyrics, the band continue to provide a track destined for dancing to, flourishing into a gleaming light at the end of a toxic situation, this ultimately shapes the track as one that is built on respect and contentment.
Sarpa Salpa have started 2022 with a powerful single that should be highly praised and sung to the masses.
