Glamorous, beautiful, shimmering indie pop. ‘Spinning’, the latest single from Ross-on-Wye born Pentire, is quite jaw dropping to listen to. A really uplifting track with some quite sad yet relatable lyrics behind it.

It’s absolutely no surprise to see that these lads have already received major support from national tastemakers on the likes of Radio 6 and Radio X. High quality music teamed with hard work will always prevail for a band and is clearly doing so for Pentire.

‘Spinning’ has a sort of nostalgic feel throwing us back to that classic indie sound from the early 2010s, it’s just really uplifting and feels instantly like the sort of tune you can imagine crowds singing and bouncing about indie moshpits to. Just a proper banger of a track.

One of the standout parts of this track for me is the drum performance. The lad playing the drums clearly has a huge talent and a perfect understanding of how to write a drum part which is actually catchy – a hard thing to achieve as drum parts don’t tend to be the most catchy thing in the world.

This one is a real earworm and honestly I’m fast becoming obsessed with the sound of Pentire. One of the UK’s brightest up-and-coming talents.
