From their very name I had an idea that their may be a hint of Psychedelia in Eyesore & The Jinx’s music. I didn’t however expect to be slapped in the face by a song that sounds so graciously experimental.
The Merseyside based band are carrying on with a successful string of releases via their label Eggy Records. After national tastemakers such as Radio 6 have latched onto the band, with recent releases they’ve clearly kept up the momentum on this one.
‘An Ideas Man’ is a song which is surprisingly easy to listen to given the experimental nature which strikes the listener when the track starts playing.
The mix of the guitars on this record could maybe be made a little better with parts which should probably stick out more coming to the front a bit more. Aside from that, there is very little fault to find with this track.
Incredible work from the fast rising Merseyside band.
